So I took a closer look at the lyrics, and they’re actually really cool and make some statements about society and people in general. I really like songs like that. Plus all the riffs are catchy. Also, the Smashing Pumpkins kick ass.

Sometimes I feel like I belong in a generation from the past. This thinking probably comes from the fact that I have realized that our generation more or less sucks. Or maybe it’s that all the douches and sluts are putting themselves out there and getting all the attention on Facebook and Twitter, therefore that’s all you ever see. I think the good people are potentially more shy and they’re probably hiding. But there our good people in our generation. And hopefully those good people will come out some day and change the world. Might sound cliche, but I sure hope so. I’m a big supporter of changing the world. Also, these are all generalized statements. There’s more too it.
Now I’m starting to rant. I think another aspect of the thinking I should be from a different generation is my taste in music. I feel like I should have been growing up either in the early-mid 20th century when jazz was mainstream and rock and roll was coming about. Either that or I think that the 90’s would have suited me as far as growing up goes, since I’m way into grunge. I only spent 3 1/2 years of my life alive before the new millennium hit and things started to go downhill. Sure we have all this technology and stuff, but people never really enjoy themselves fully. Everyone’s on information overload. Everyone’s a robot, they don’t have real feelings or ideas anymore.
I dunno. Just little bits of general thought and philosophy for ya.
